I had an amazing experience hunting with Brett and his team in BC chasing Spring bears in 2024. The scenery was breathtaking – snowcapped peaks, rivers, lakes, and a LOT of bears to scout. Camp was clean, well equipped, and made for an enjoyable stay. I have had the privilege of hunting with a number of different outfitters over the years and I would put Brett/Gunsight Peak at the top with the best of them. The outfitter/guides not only worked extremely hard to put us on mature boars, but they were a lot of fun to hunt with each day. Lots of smiles and laughs around the campfire each night after a hard day’s hunt. It doesn’t get much better than that in my opinion – I’ve already booked my next hunt with them in 2025

I was fortunate to draw Brett Russell as my one-on-one guide for a black hunt in May 2024. The experience was nothing short of perfect.

The surrounding area in the Coastal Mountain Area of BC is stunning. Camp was straightforward and clean and supplied everything needed for a comfortable one-week stay deep in the woods.

Brett is an excellent guide. He's knowledgeable, skilled and an overall great person to hang with (which is important when you're hunting 10-hour days)., He was super helpful for me as a first-time bear hunter, as evidenced by the excellent boar I was able to harvest (on day 3 of our hunt).

Overall, a great experience and an amazing time. I'd recommend Brett and Gunsight Peak Outfitting to anyone looking for a great hunting experience in BC.
