From Utah to British Columbia – A Different Kind of Hunt

Utah hunters know the thrill of chasing elk in the Wasatch or mule deer in the desert. But when you're ready for a change in scenery, British Columbia offers something entirely different. At Gunsight Peak Outfitting, we take hunters from Utah into the deep mountain regions of coastal BC. The terrain is steep, the forests are thick, and the wildlife is truly wild.

We guide you through areas where black bears, Columbia Blacktail deer, and mountain lions live undisturbed. These hunts are fully guided and include lodging, meals, and transportation from designated points. You won’t need to worry about maps or access. We take care of all the details so you can stay focused on the experience.

Our hunts are a good fit for experienced hunters and for those who are stepping into their first guided trip outside Utah. It’s a chance to leave familiar land behind and test your skills in new terrain.

Why Utah Hunters Head North for Big Game

The mountains of British Columbia are part of a vast landscape filled with valleys, ridgelines, and remote habitats. These are not the same types of spaces most Utah hunters are used to. They’re wilder, less pressured, and full of opportunity for those willing to work for it.

We offer black bear hunts in both spring and fall, and many hunters from Utah are drawn to the chance to track larger bears in thick cover. If you’re more interested in predator hunts, our mountain lion packages take place in snow-packed zones where fresh tracks can lead to high success. For those after Blacktail deer, we guide you through forested trails and pockets where bucks are often found.

Gunsight Peak Outfitting guides you through a full experience in one of North America's most rugged regions. If you're based in Utah and looking to hunt in British Columbia, we’re ready to help you plan your next adventure.
